Cook Islands Tourism is proud to present this free, fun and socially interactive event for potential travellers and those who want to know more about the Undiscovered Cook Islands.
“It Takes A Village” – our cultural showcase event will be held on Saturday 4 May 2013 at the Australia National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour – Waterside Studio from 11am – 4pm. FREE ENTRY.
With a show on the hour from 11am and the last show starting at 3pm, you will be treated to cooking demonstrations with tastings, ei-katu making (flower head garlands); learn about the history of tattoo in the Cook Islands and 100 ways to wear your pareu (sarong). From there, we’ll introduce you to the islands of the Cook Islands through a dancing and drumming spectacular.
Also try our locally-made Te Tika skincare range, and meet with local travel specialists and resorts from the Cook Islands – all offering exclusive air and land package deals on the day.
